Industrial Attachment

i shall listen to ann-marie n update my blog since i wont be seeing her in lectures for the entire yr. =(

First 4 wks
I nv thought my life at DSO in NUS was going to be gd, n i expect myself to be more independent cuz i wont hav anyone to depend on. but i know 2 frens (lilian and peijun) on my 1st day of work! =) n they r really nice. oh ya, n during our security briefing, i was "introduced" to other IA students thanks to the person that was giving the talk. haha. he said that his ex galfriend has the same name as me n he used my name in all his examples. -_-"

I nv regret that i was not attached to optical shops. cuz i felt that i really learn other areas in this industry that i wont ever learn in my sch. mus really thanks my supervisor, who happens to be mr ng's best buddy. haha. i rmb asking him on the 1st day of work y m i not doing refraction etc etc. n his ans was u can do all that in sch until u sian. haha true.
I also learn how to make a schematic eye, how to make a modified monocular indirect opthalmoscope, how to design illusions and evaluate glare using MS ppt. =) i gave my 1st presentation without my frens on the findings that i found during the 1st 3 wks to my sup, mr ng, a psychologist n other bosses of my sup. it was scary but thanks goodness it turned out fine. =) Mr lin (my sup) was a really nice person too, always volunteer to help me.

Lilian n Peijun definitely drove my loneliness away in DSO. though i was in the diff department as them, we nv fail to have lunch together. really miss them after i left DSO. =( but i still meet them for lunch whenever i hav time. =) hope we will keep in touch 4ever. =)

The next 3 wks
i knew i was going to be alone for the entire attachment at SPOC n WCOC. since all my classmates r heading to optical shops. n i truly experienced the loneliness on my 1st day at SPOC. i even felt like crying when Mr Ng handed me my student log book, which reminded me of DSO. i wanted to go back badly. =( fenni was so sweet to pei me for lunch during her off days too. n life got better after i get to know sabrina's grp. i had lunch with them n they really make me feel that i'm not out of place. =) mus really thanks them. too bad the 1 wk of orientation was not enough for me to know them even better. =(

after the 1st wk of orientation, i hang out with sabrina, ya lun and maybelline. these pple also made my life so much better in SPOC n WCOC. i like all of them. sabrina and maybelline are really caring and yalun always make us laugh with her stories. =) they will nv leave u behind alone. hope that we will still be in touch after this attachment.

i m looking forward to the India attachment. but sab n i analyse that everyone only has 50% chance of being selected. =( shall leave it to the lecturers ba.
